Turtle Valley is a beach in the south of Kapas island, Malaysia. You may also walk in a few minutes to the neighboring wild
Merifer beach located to the left. This is a great low key spot for a relaxing holiday far away from the crowds. There are no palms, but many trees. Sea water is azure and clear. While snorkeling on the house reef is great. You may also walk through the island's jungle. There are several trails - easy, medium and hard. Kapas island is less crowded, if compared with Perhentian or Redang. But Turtle Valley Beach is secluded even by the standards of Kapas. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Kapas Turtle Valley Chalet (KTV) are basic bungalows in the jungle with rooms' rates starting from US$80 per night. This is probably the best accommodation option on the island. It is worth to book much in advance:
www.KapasTurtleValley.com. They have an almost private beach, as well as very delicious European food. They also give free kayaks and snorkeling gears. The only problem is lack of air conditioning in the rooms (fan only). This is standard situation for the island. But many visitors from Europe can't sleep due to the heat.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Kuala Lumpur international airport (KUL). Next get by domestic flight to
Kota Terengganu airport (TGG). Then get by taxi to the pier of
Marang town, and get by speedboat to Kapas island.
Attention! You should always ask your hotel about transfer options, as well as to book boat in advance for exact time and exact pier.
