Turtles island (Isla Tortuga) is a BBQ island in the
archipelago of San Blas, Panama. There are no hotels, so all of the tourists get here on a daily basis. It may happen, that you will be the only guest here. And all of this for $2 a day charged by local
Kuna Indians. This is a good price to make a lot of photos in a perfect tropical paradise and to see people of pre-Columbian nation. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
The island has no hotels, and there is no reliable information about chances to stay overnight in your own tent. However, there are many islands around with hotels, that will be happy to bring you here as a day trip.
How to get there [edit]
Most visitors to the Turtles island are the passengers of sailboat charters arriving from the Colombian
Cartagena.
Ground transportation is available as well. You'll get by jeep from Panama City to the port of
Carti, and next take a boat to the island you need.

The best time for a beach holiday on Turtle Island in San Blas is a dry season from January to April.
