Umm Bab beach

Umm Bab is a unique palm tree beach in the west of Qatar. Strange, but local tourists are not common here. It seems that they are not excited by the opportunity to relax in the palm shadow near the sea. So this excellent beach is usually deserted, which makes it even better. Shore and seabed: sand. Hotels [edit]

There are no hotels near the beach of Umm Bab. Theoretically, you may rent a room in the village, but it is not common.

More realistic is to spend a night in a tent right on the beach - especially if you are traveling in a group. There are also confirmed cases when locals allowed to put up a tent near their houses.

Fly to Doha international airport (DOH). Next drive 60 km from Doha to the west.

When to go [edit]

The best time for relaxing on the beach in Umm Bab of Qatar is a mild season in spring and autumn. During the hot summer it's good only in the early morning or late evening. As for the winter, the weather is comfortable, but sea water is quite cold.
