Uonukuhihifo island

Uonukuhihifo is an uninhabited island in the group of
Ha'apai in Tonga. There is also a smaller
Uonukuhahake island nearby. Both islands have classic tropical beaches, and it is hard to meet anybody here due to relative remoteness from inhabited islands. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

The nearest hotels are located 10 km to the north-east at
Uoleva island. By the way, the beaches of Uoleva island are even better than beaches of Uonukuhihifo and Uonukuhahake.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Tonga International Airport (TBU). Next fly to
Haʻapai-Lifuka Airport (HPA) or take a ferry to Lifuka island. Next take a boat to Uiha island.
The distance from Uiha island to Uonukuhihifo island is about 5 km. Usually you will have to arrange a day trip tour with locals owning the boat.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in the islands of Uonukuhihifo and Uonukuhahake is a dry season from May to October.
