Uroa beach

Uroa is a beach on the east coast of Zanzibar island, Tanzania. This is an ordinary Zanzibar beach being good enough by the island's standards. There are many trees and palms ashore. So the landscapes are mostly beautiful. However, for a purely beach holiday, it is still better to have sunbeds with parasol. Of course, there is a problem of strong tides, but it's not so bad if compared to other beaches on the island. It is also worth to mention annoying beach vendors and beggars. In the hotels of Uroa, rooms' fares start from US$50 per night. And beach has the best value for money on the island.

But you should remember, that there is absolutely nothing to do in Uroa - except for a beach holiday. So it is better to choose expensive resort with many amenities.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Zanzibar international airport (ZNZ). Next hire a taxi.

At the current time, there are many direct flights to Zanzibar. So connections flight via Dar es Salaam makes sense only in case, if you plan a safari on the mainland.

When to go [edit]

Feel free to relax in Zanzibar any time of year - except for the pronounced rainy season in April.
