Utungake beach

Utungake is a beach in the main island of
Vava'u archipelago of Tonga. The beach is located in a sheltered bay close to the main town of
Neiafu. Thanks to this the water is always calm without waves, but it looks more like a lake than the open sea. Shore and seabed: sand.

Tongan Beach Resort and
Mystic Sands are the two major beach hotels with room rates starting from US$100 per night. You may also rent a room in the village, but these accomodation options are not presented in the internet.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Tonga International Airport (TBU). Next take a domestic flight to
Vavaʻu International Airport (VAV). There are also direct flights from Fiji to Vavau during the high season. Next hire a taxi.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday in Tonga is a dry season from May to October.
