Vagaru island

Vagaru is a private island in the south of Shaviyani atoll, Maldives. There are many trees and palms, and in general everything is pretty scenic. The main complaint is about the house reef, since it is completely dead. When you are in the Maldives, you can expect good snorkeling right from the coastline. In addition, the beach is good only near the inner side of lagoon. It is ridiculous to pay 2 thousand dollars per night and then walk to other people's bungalows for a good beach :) Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa is a five-star hotel with rooms' rates starting from US$1500 per night. Despite all the efforts, this is not a true upscale property. No one tries to entertain guests in the evening, there are only two restaurants, and the sand is washed from the beach on the out side of island - despite the breakwaters.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Maldives international airport (MLE). Next take 50-minutes flight by a seaplane. The round trip fare by a seaplane is US$600 for adult, US$360 for child 2-11 years old, free for infants.

When to go [edit]

You can relax any time of year in the Maldives. But the best is a winter half of the year.
