Vamizi island

Vamizi is a private island in Quirimbas archipelago in Mozambique. The island is large enough with many good beaches. There are also ancient ruins from the colonial period. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

The island has a five-star hotel starting from $2500 per night. Despite the claims for uniqueness, in fact it is a usual premium resort, as in many other islands of Mozambique.

How to get there [edit]

The most cheap is to fly to Quirimbas islands via airports of neighboring countries: Dar es Salaam International Airport (DAR) (Tanzania), Nairobi International Airport (NBO) (Kenya) or Johannesburg International Airport (JNB) (South Africa).

Next fly to Pemba International Airport (POL) or fly to Nampula International Airport (APL). Next hire a taxi/speedboat or take a flight on your hotel's private plane.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in the islands of Quirimbas is a dry season from April to November. However, if you prefer the warm sea water, it is better to avoid the period from July to September.
