Velaa Private Island

Velaa is an upscale resort in the Noonu Atoll, Maldives. The beach is superb everywhere and always secluded. It is really hard to find any downsides, but still this is not the best island in the Maldives. There is no home reef, but only breakwaters instead. So the snorkeling is rather mediocre. As for the killer feature, it is worth to mention a golf course being some kind of exclusivity in the region. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Rooms' fares are high end - tending to increase all the time, that is quite typical for Maldives. Moreover, all additional services are overpriced even by the luxury standards. However, the service is really great - probably one of the best in the World.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Maldives international airport (MLE). Next get by seaplane - about 1 hour per way. Adult fare is USD$1100 for the round trip. Children under 12 years will have 50% discount from the base rate.

The best time for a beach holiday in the Maldives is a dry cool season in the winter half of the year.
