Velidhu is a private island in the
North Ari Atoll, Maldives. In general, the beaches are good, though there are no many palm trees. Breakwater slightly spoils the view to the ocean, but it is located only in the north end of the island. Along the west coast there is a lagoon with calm waters, that is perfect for those wishing to swim for a long distance. Around the island there is a home reef with superb snorkeling. Shore and seabed: sand.

Hotels [edit]
Velidhu Island Resort is a 4-star resort with room's rate from US$400 per night, that is quite inexpensive by the Maldivian standards. This place is perfect for budget travelers, who don't wish to stay on the local islands.
Please note, that "all inclusive" package anyway don't include many drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, that will go for extra money).
Also we don't recommend overwater bungalows, as these are duplex. So you will hear your neighbors, while neighbors will hear what you do.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Male international airport (MLE). Next take a half an hour flight by seaplane. The cost for the round trip is US$390 per adult, US$200 for a child under 12 years old, children under one year old are free of charge.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday at the Velidhu Island Resort in the Maldives is a dry season from January to April.
