Villingili island

Villingili is a local island in the Maldives, North Male atoll. The beach is located in the east of the island, and features the view to skyline of the Male capital island. The beach itself is very good with trees and nice sand. However, bikini swimwear is strictly prohibited, so you may only sit in the tree shadow waiting for your airplane. Villingili island has several hotels quite similar to those in Male, - both in terms of service and prices (room starts from US$100 per night with all taxes).

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Male international airport (MLE). Then take a ferry to the neighboring island of Male. Hire a taxi (or just walk) to Villingili ferry terminal located in the opposite side of the island, and take another ferry to Vilingili island. All ferries are cheap and frequent, while distance between the islands is very short.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a holiday in the beaches of Villingili island, Maldives is a dry season from January to April.
