Vlychada beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Vlychada is a wild beach in the south of
Santorini island in Greece. High unusual cliffs look like other planet, but old pipe near the port spoils all magic. The sand is dark, but there's no light sand in Santorini. This beach is considered to be nudist and gay friendly. However, in Europe it's like that everywhere, - after all it's not Saudi Arabia. Shore and seabed: pebbles, sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
In the south end of the beach - in Vlychada town - there are several hotels from US$40 per night. However, there's no sense to stay in such a depressing place, - especially when you are on Santorini.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Santorini international airport (JTR). Next take a bus or hire a taxi.
When to go [edit]
The best time for a beach holiday on the island of Santorini is a warm season from July to September.
