Voutoumi beach

Voutoumi is a popular beach on Antipaxos island, Greece. Azure water on the shallows looks very impressive from the air, and white sand resembles the Caribbean. However, most of the coast is made of large pebbles being very uncomfortable to walk barefoot. Also, you will not find a single tree ashore, - so no shade to hide from the heat. And don't forget about many excursion boats - each bringing about 150 visitors. As for now, this is more like a Lost Paradise. Ridiculous, but you should pre-book a table in a cafe, which is spacious enough to take more than 100 persons at a time. Definitely, this place isn’t worth even a single visit. Hotels [edit]

There are no hotels on Antipaxos island. So most tourists visit it as a day trip. This is probably a good idea to spend a night in your own tent. Thus you'll have a chance to see the beach without crowds - in the morning and in the evening.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Corfu International Airport (CFU). Get by ferry from the New Port to Paxos island, and next get by another ferry to Antipaxos island (30 min). All excursion boats visit few best beaches on the island (usually Vrika and Voutoumi), so you won't miss this beach.

The best time for a holiday in Voutoumi beach is a warm season from July to September.
