Waialea beach
Ultimate guide (December 2024)
Waialea is an excellent beach in the northwest of the Big Island of Hawaii. There are many trees with good shade. Sea bottom is mostly rocky with great snorkeling. But if you walk a little, you can always find an area with comfortable sandy bottom. Sometimes there are strong waves and currents. So if you are not a strong swimmer, it is worth to stay near the shore. There is a shower and changing cabins. Parking is paid: US$10 per car and additional US$5 per person. Shore and seabed: sand, pebbles.
