Waikoloa is a popular beach in the north-west of the Big Island of Hawaii. Compared to other beaches on the island, this is quite a canonical tropical paradise. There are many palms. While sea bottom is sandy in many areas. Of course, there are also many rocky areas with good snorkeling. If you walk to the left (behind the Lava Lava club), there will almost wild uncrowded spot. There are many sea turtles along the coastline (like everywhere else on the island). The beach is reached by an easy walk from parking lot of the
Queen's Marketplace. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa is a 4-star hotel with rooms' rates starting from US$500 per night. This is a good property, but still overpriced.
In addition, a little to the north, there is a condominium with villas starting from US$1000 per night. If you travel in a large group, it can be a good value for money, - at least if compare with Marriott.
