Wanjo beach

Wanjo is the only decent beach on Okinoerabu island, Japan. It has the large areas of sandy bottom, that can be rarely met on rest of the island. A concrete embankment goes along the shore (instead of trees), but it is not a real problem by the island's standards. There is a good snorkeling over the stones. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. There are several hotels on the island, but it is difficult to book them in the Internet. However, in most cases, advanced booking is not necessary.

When to go [edit]

The best time to relax on the beach is Wanjo is a warm period from July to September. Unfortunately, this is a rainy season, but the rest of the year it will be very cold even to sunbathe.
