Watamu beach

Watamu is a popular beach resort area in Kenya. This is an extremely diverse place. There is Mida Creek, a lot of bays, sandbanks, rocks in the ocean and excellent snorkeling. In Watamu, there is probably the best choice of beach hotels all over the Kenyan coast. It is possible to find basic beachfront bungalow by the ocean from US$30 per night, as well as a lot of luxury resorts from US$200 per room.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Nairobi international airport (NBO), next fly to Malindi airport (MYD). Then get to Watamu by taxi or by matata minibus.

On the beaches of Watamu there is a great weather all over the year except for a short rainy season in May.
