Wineglass Bay beach

Wineglass Bay is the most famous beach in Tasmania island of Australia. The place is beautiful, with white sand and clear water. Some publishers even rate this beach as one of the best beaches in the world, but of course it's not like that. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Nearest to the Wineglass beach, hotels are located 4 miles to the north-west - in the town of Coles Bay. The minimum cost of room is US$80 per night, with more realistic fares being about US$200-300.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Hobart airport (HBA) or fly to Launceston airport (LST). Next drive to the Coles Bay, and then take a daytrip provided by the Wineglass Bay Cruises.

When to go [edit]

The best time for a beach holiday in the Wineglass Bay is a warm season from December to March. Sea water is the warmest in February, but it's just 17°C. Not everybody will be able to swim in such a cold water.
