Wuzhizhou island

Wuzhizhou is a small paradise island near the Hainan island in China. There are excellent sandy beaches and large artificial reefs with good diving. Despite of the beautiful landscapes, you can only swim in a small designated area. Very frustrating if you look for some freedom in the water. Hotels [edit]

Sanya Wuzhizhou Coral Hotel is the only accomodation option on the island. The hotel is very nice and reasonably priced. But if you want something cheaper, - feel free to choose any suitable hotel in the Haitang Bay.

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Sanya Phoenix International Airport (SYX). Then hire a taxi. Also you may fly to Haikou Meilan International Airport (HAK), but it located in the north of island - far from best beaches. You can move around the island by buses, but it can be hard to understand how local transport is working.

There is a ferry from Haitang Bay pier (several times an hour) to the island of Wuzhizhou. The entry fee to the island is usually included in the ferry price.

When to go [edit]

Rainy season lasts from May to October, but sea water is warm during this period. On the other hand from November to April there are no rains, but the water is cold. Therefore, the optimal time for a beach holiday in the island of Hainan is spring and autumn.
