Xanadu beach

Xanadu is a beach of an abandoned resort on Grand Bahama island. It is still has palms and tiki huts (very outdated ones). The place looks somewhat depressing, but on the other hand there is usually no a single person. However, just a little to the west, there is usual Bahamas beach with trees, - it's also beautiful and secluded. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

How to get there [edit]

Fly to Freeport international airport (FPO) or take a ferry from Fort Lauderdale to Grand Bahama. Next get by taxi or just walk on your own. This is the closest beach to the airport of Grand Bahama (3 miles - about one hour walking).

The best time for relaxing on the beach of Xanadu is a dry season in the winter half of the year.
