Xiamen beach

Xiamen is a large city in China - not far from Taiwan. There are a lot of nice beaches in the southeast of the island, but sea water is usually dirty. For a clean and quiet beach it is better to move to the neighboring Gulangyu island. Xiamen is also considered to be one and the best places for kitesurfing in China. Shore and seabed: sand. [edit]

Xiamen has a great choice of hotels - especially in the south-west of the island. Near the beaches the range of accommodation options is not so good, but anyway you can find suitable hotel without any problems.

Fly to Xiamen international airport (XMN). Next take a bus to the stop 海韵台 - lines 29, 47, 115, 316, 751.

The best time for a beach holiday in Xiamen is a warm dry period from October to November.
