Yadorihama beach

Yadorihama is a remoted beach in the south of Amami Oshima island, Japan. The place is pretty nice, though it's not that like true tropical paradise. The sand is white, and there are also trees giving some shade. Entry into the water is mostly rocky - made of the beaten corals. This is not very comfortable. But snorkeling on the home reef is great. Shore and seabed: sand, stones. [edit]

The Scene Amami SPA & Rresort is a four star property with rooms' fares starting from US$1200 per night. The service is great. But there is nothing like an upscale luxury one might expect for the money.

Yadorihama Camping Ground is another property with rooms starting from US$100. Value for money is also not the best. But it's quite Ok by the Japanese standards.

Fly to Amami airport (ASJ). Next hire a taxi.

When to go [edit]

Feel free to relax any time of year in the Amami Islands. However, it is better to avoid the rainy season from April to June. Another uncomfortable season is a period from January to April, since the sea water is rather cold this time.
