Yasawa island
Ultimate guide (November 2024)
Yasawa (Mbukama) is the northernmost and the largest island in the
Yasawa chain, Fiji. The beaches are not very good in general. The best beach (
Lomalagi beach) is in the west of the island near the hotel. There is also a nice sandspit connecting the north Yasawa and small
Yawini island. Shore and seabed: sand, stones.

Hotels [edit]
Yasawa Island Resort is the only hotel on the island. And it's unreasonably expensive, given the mediocre beach. Children under the six years old are not allowed to the property, except for the two family weeks in a year.
How to get there [edit]
Fly to
Nadi International Airport (NAN). Next get by plane to the island of Yasawa.
You can also get to the Nakula island by the
Yasawa Flyer catamaran, and next take a private boat. This option makes sense only in case if you plan to visit some other islands in the Yasawa chain.
When to go [edit]
The best time to travel to the Yasawa Island is a dry season from May to November.
